The workshop uses a series of guided and interactive process simulations to introduce participants to the basic concepts of Lean and other tools often used by process improvement teams. 

Throughout the different scenarios, participants will make use of tools such as Brainstorming, Root Cause Analysis and the Plan -> Do -> Check -> Adjust (PDCA) cycle to make improvements.

SPROINC offers on-site or off-site Lean Six Sigma Training such as

• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

Training can be done with material designed by Sustainable Processes Inc., your own in-house material or material produced by a third party.

We offer on-site or distance process improvement coaching for Lean Six Sigma belt working on projects.  Coaching is given not only to improve project velocity but also to ensure that belts attain a good working knowledge of the Lean Six Sigma discipline.

Since the world of process improvement calls on multiple tools to reach the goals, individual sessions are available on tools and techniques such as root cause analysis, solution selection, process mapping, process metrics, measurement system analysis, etc...

You may have a few questions or a lot on what process improvement is.  You may want to introduce a group to the concept of process improvement.  You might want to learn more about the different methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma or how both are combined. 

Through a formal presentation or informal discussions, we are able to give you the information you need to make a decision.

With the proper confidentiality agreements in place, we will show you how your own data in combination with other data sources can help you make better fact based decisions. We will do this using good old fashion applied statistics while respecting all the rules.  As a bonus, you get to decide if you want all the technical mumbo jumbo!

We all get stuck in the day to day details of running our business and we need to be able to step back and take a look at the whole picture in order to make the correct business decisions.  We can help you take that step back by joining you in a process walk (gemba walk) and asking the questions to make you reflect on how you do business. This is independant of the type of business your are running and can be done from the insurance business to the crab processing plant.

Sometimes, it's not the process that is behaving badly but the method used to measure one of its key characteristics. We can ensure that data that you collect meets your needs and those of your clients. If it doesn’t meet the needs, we can help you fix it or develop a new one.

Process simulations offer the possibility of examining "What if" scenarios.  We have the knowledge of tools and methods to help you answer questions like:

• What would be the impact of using a more precise and accurate piece of machinery on my final product
• What if I where to design my process to flow like this instead of the other way
• ...
